Prof. Dr. Mrs. Evelyn Fogwe Chibaka

Associate Professor at the University of Buea, Cameroon. Founder and President of CaPROWN

Prof. Dr. Mrs. Evelyn Fogwe Chibaka is an Associate Professor in Linguistics currently lecturing in the Department of Linguistics, University of Buea, Cameroon. She is a specialist in Generative Syntax and has shown interest in Applied Linguistics, documentary Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Gender & Culture Studies, and currently in Digital Humanities.

Being an accredited author herself of several publications, She is the co-editor of a volume on Cameroon Professional Women in Science – A Trans-disciplinary Review. Her project on Cameroon Professional Research-Oriented Women Network (CaPROWN) has received the Humboldt Alumni Award 2020 for Innovative Networking Initiative promoting networking between female academics.

English Language Teaching since 1995. Theatre for Development facilitator, British council, and Peace Corps trained facilitator, actress, and artistic director. Taught at the B&K Language Institute from 1996 to 2000, British Council from 2006 to 2010, British Teaching Centre from 2010 to 2014. Now runs the Universal Language Training Centre in Yaounde

Prof. Dr. Marceline Djuidje Ngounoue, M.Sc., Ph.D.  
Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Yaounde I CaPROWN Coordinator for the Central Zone

Prof. Dr. Djuidje Ngounoue, Marceline is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon. She is a Fulbright Research Scholar Alumna and Visiting Professor, Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Microbial Pathogenesis/Boyer Center for Molecular Medicine (New Haven, Connecticut, USA).

Prof. Dr. Djuidje holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry since June 2009, with a specialty in Molecular Virology/Viral Genomics from the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon. From 2012 to date, she has directed ten (10) master studies and currently supervises more MSc and co-supervises seven (7) Ph.D. students in the field of Biochemistry, Molecular Microbiology, and Immunology both at the Universities of Yaoundé I and Buea, Cameroon.

Marceline has over 14 years of experience working in the area of infectious diseases research and research ethics, with expertise in scientific writing for which she is an instructor. Marceline focuses on viral infectious diseases (HIV and hepatitis co-infections), exploring the biochemical markers, genomics, mechanisms of pathogenesis, and vaccine development strategies.


Prof. Dr. Tonjock Rosemary Kinge 
Associate Professor at the University of Bamenda CaPROWN Western Zone Coordinator

Tonjock Rosemary Kinge is an Associate Professor of Mycology and Plant Pathology in the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science in the University of Bamenda, Cameroon. She is the head of the service for a certificate, teaching programs, and research in the Faculty of Science at the University of Bamenda.

She has a Ph.D. in Botany (Mycology) from the University of Buea in 2013. Her research is focused on four main axes; fungi diversity, fungi pathology, ethnomycology, and conservation. Rosemary is passionate about mentoring females and empowering early career researchers in STEM fields.

Rosemary is a member of several scientific and professional organizations including the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists, the higher women consortium of Cameroon, and the organization of women in Science for the developing world, Cameroon chapter. She is a fellow of the African Science Leadership Programme and an affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences where she belongs to the science, innovation, and policy as well as the agriculture working groups. She is a TWAS-CAS postgraduate and Fulbright scholar alumni.


Prof. Dr. VALERIE MAKOGE.
Maitre de Reserche IMPM CaPROWN Vice Coordinator for the Central Zone

Valerie Makoge is a Senior Research Officer (Maître de Recherche) at the Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plant Studies (IMPM) in Cameroon. She is currently the head of the Laboratory of Parasitology of the Medical Research Centre of IMPM. Her research is uniquely a blend of hard and soft sciences. In addition to her Bachelors (B.Sc Hons) degree in Biochemistry and Master’s degree in Parasitology from the University of Buea, Valerie also has a management degree (cum laude) with emphasis on health (HIV) communication from Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands and a Ph.D. on Salutogenesis and Health promotion also from Wageningen University and Research. Valerie comfortably carries out research in both the biological and social sciences and has presented and published her research internationally.


Dr. LILIAN FAI WIYSAHNYUY
University of Bamenda  CaPROWN Vice Coordinator for Western Zone

Dr. Fai Lilian Wiysahnyuy is a holder of a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Buea. She is currently the chair of the Department of Guidance and Counselling, and a lecturer in the Department of Science of Education in the Higher Teacher Training College, The University of Bamenda in Cameroon. She is a member and a professional development fellow of the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD), a member of the Cameroon Professional Research-Oriented Women Network (CaPROWN) and Cameroon Psychology Association (CPA). Her teaching and research focus on but are not limited to Psycho-pedagogy, school counseling, and Research Methods in Education.  She has published a good number of scientific articles and book chapters in Education.
